This shirt does not mean I hate Jay Z nor am I trying to diss him. Rather I'm just making a statement that we should all have a point where we refuse to follow secular artists. I reached my point years ago, but many Christians have yet to decide. Not only does Jay Z promote sin and rebellion in his music, but also, the occult, illuminati, secret societies, calls himself J-Hova, ( 1 of God's names in the Bible), the god emcee, believes Jesus is not the Savior of the world, which would make Jesus a liar and deceiver because he claimed He was. Not only that but Jay Z also also takes shots at Jesus & God in his music. Yet in spite of all this the Christian church is one of his biggest promoters. In fact I'm confident, my shirt will offend more people in the church that still listen to Jay-Z than those outside the church. It is a sad day,....but there are still some Christians left that have not bowed their knee to the god's of this culture,....some who are not scared to {shout it aloud, not hold back and raise their voice like a trumpet in order to declare to God's people their rebellion} Isaiah 58:1, with the goal of turning the hearts of the people back to God. I do pray for Jay Z and all others that they would come to truly know Christ and turn away from their sins. However, I also want to make it clear that Jay Z has really gone too far and he will keep going thinking its cool if the righteous remain silent. When people ask me about this shirt I hope in love to use it as a spring board to bridge into the gospel and discuss spiritual truths. My goal is not that people will stop listening to Jay Z only, because that would be moralism, but rather that people would start considering the high cost Christ had to pay out of His own pocket for our sins so we could have salvation & a new life lived for God. Some may say there is a more perfect way of accomplishing my goal and may not agree with this stance. But I can only do what God places on my heart to do. So instead of saying you wouldn't have done that or wearing an Ex-Jay Z shirt isn't going to accomplish anything, then how about instead of debating, critiquing and arguing with those trying to bring change, do something yourself! What is your plan, what will you do? Its time for all Christians to rise up and take a stand. And I don't just mean against secular artists that promote sin, but against anything in our own lives that God is calling us to surrender over to Him. Worthy is the Lamb that was slain! ( 2 Corinthians 5: Ephesians 4:1, & Phillippians 1:27, Revelation 5:9-13).
