Sunday Sermon: Top 7 Reasons Why People Hate God - 23 Aug 09

Have you ever had a group of friends that you kicked it with and then one day you find out that one of them is talking about you behind your back?  It can really catch you off guard, especially because you thought you were so cool with that person.    For some people, this is the exact relationship you have with God.  We can think we're cool with God, but in reality our actions are telling God that we hate Him.

Listen as Pastor Cox reveals the top 7 reasons why people hate God.

P4CM Records First release: new JERK video - THE FUNKTION!

“Jerking”, is a popular dance style on the West Coast. This past summer it made such a huge buzz, that it has turned in a culture that has influenced many youth. Youth have incorporated the “jerk” style into the way they talk, walk, dress, the music they listen to, and the friends they make. The clothes and swagg are one thing, but the biggest concern we have is the content of the music the youth are listening to. Most of the lyrics in jerk songs would make Too Short sound like a Gospel artist. For example, there is a popular jerk song out called “I’m Tastey” which contains explicit lyrics describing oral sex,  and youth are listening to this! Yet we wouldn’t even let these same kids see an R rated movie.  However it seems like it’s ok to let our kids listen to lyrics that encourage them to imagine scenes that might be found in a porno.  Should we be ok with that?  Obviously not. We struggled with the question, “Is anyone trying to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ to these kids?”   After spending most of our summer out witnessing at almost every high school in the LA area I can honestly say there are few!  Meanwhile kids are drinking down more sin, listening to songs that encourage sex, pride, drugs, and murder.  However, there is hope.  Jesus Christ is strong!  Knowing that He stood for us, we at P4CM have decided to stand for Him.  We want to provide the kids in the “Jerk” culture with music not only to dance to, but music that has been saturated with the fragrance and Gospel of Jesus Christ.   We made a beat, rapped over it, produced a video to use it as a tool.  A tool to relate to the “Jerk” culture and share with them the Gospel of Jesus Christ,  so that we might save some by ALL POSSIBLE MEANS (1 Cor 9:22-23).

Wed. Bible Study: I'm Not That Evil - 12 Aug 2009

One of the most popular questions athiest or skeptics ask Christians is: If God is real then why is there so much evil in the world today.  Most Christians understand and respond saying, that if God was to end all evil in the world, then that means He would destroy each and every person on earth, because we've all done evil things in the eyes of God.  Offended the skeptic may say or think, "I'm not evil!"  Listen as Pastor Justin Cox adds his two cents.

The Madness, The Misery of Masturbation by: Larry J. Brown Jr. aka J-Elijah

This poem was sent to us from brother Larry J. Brown Jr of New York and is dedicated to those struggling with masturbation.

Restless.
Frustrated.
Frustrated with Myself.
I did it again.
Like a crack addict addicted to crack,
I am addicted to myself.
Seeking quick fixes.
Temporary highs with devastating lows.
Trying to satisfy the lust of my flesh,
With solo trips,
With solo voyages,
In darkness.
Despite disgust, guilt, shame, condemnation.
Knowing what I'm supposed to do,
Continuing to do what I'm not supposed to
Like Paul in Romans 7.
Justifying my sin because of the lesser consequences than fornication.

You've seen the videos, you've heard Blair's poetry and Pastor Justin Cox's sermons.  But what would a regular ol' member at P4CM tell you it's like being at the movement.  Here's the testimony of a member of the movement about the movement when we were at our old location.
